A few months ago I heard about this place and decided to visit.Organic Mandi by CHAI(Chandigarh Holistic Agriculture Initiative) is located at Kartar Aasra road adjacent to Sukhna Lake Chandigarh.It is held every Saturday from 12pm-4pm.This mandi offers a large variety of organic veggies, fruits, organic oils, naturally colored biscuits, sweets, hot drinks and much more.Families growing their own food in the kitchen gardens without using any chemicals came here to sell their products.The price is a little bit higher than other mandis due to its organic nature but as far as health is considered it is not a big deal.I have tried almost all the veggies and fruits and I tasted the originality for the first time.I have also tried winter special food but that was not up to the mark.I like the Khoya Barfi very much due to its real taste.For chai lovers also they offer Chai in earthenware teacups.For junky lovers, there are stalls of Tikki, Panipuri, Chat Papri and other snack items.All these items are freshly prepared and served with hygiene.
To conclude, it is a one-stop place for all food lovers.The next time you visit Chandigarh do not forget to visit this amazing place and satisfy your taste buds with the organic food.Till then support organic farming and "MAST RAHO AUR JEE BHAR K KHAO"☺
